The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, arranging financing, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients.

In EMEA, we work with a wide spectrum of companies, from mid-market privately owned enterprises to large multinational organizations. With a growing EMEA platform of around 400 Corporate Finance bankers, we have the breadth and targeted expertise to provide exceptional client service.

Capital Markets Advisory

Our Capital Markets Advisory Group operates within the Corporate Finance business and is one of the firm’s fastest growing practices. As trusted advisors, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success or for refinancings for companies under duress. We offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. In EMEA, the team is a rapidly growing team, advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries. Our integrated European team comprises over 50 bankers in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan and Manchester and is a leading practice in the European market

Scope

The Capital Markets Advisory team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add a Vice President in its growing French office in Paris

As a VP in our Capital Markets team, you’ll manage capital raising engagements by closely working with Directors and Managing Directors, and managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates, to deliver best execution to our clients, in France and in other geographies. You will also actively contribute to pitching ideas and production of pitch materials to support our marketing initiatives.

You will be encouraged to develop your external network of contacts – corporate clients, private equity clients, banks, law firms – as well as your internal network – sector and other product experts, within the firm and around the globe.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 6-7 years of experience in Investment Banking / Private Equity / Corporate roles, across debt advisory, restructuring advisory, leveraged finance, credit underwriting, debt structuring and syndication
• Rounded candidate with strong credit, modelling and structuring skills, good knowledge of debt markets and documentation features. Rating analysis will be a plus
• Strong execution experience, with demonstrated experience in teaching, managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates
• Fluency in French and English language (other languages are a plus)
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Assist in initiating and extending group marketing and client development efforts
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated, creative, outgoing and possess strong skills in financial analysis
• Good knowledge of the French market
