Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday) is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of machine shop equipment. This role ensures all major production machinery operates safely and efficiently to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The technician performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, and works to minimize downtime while maintaining high standards for equipment reliability and performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, overhaul on all major production equipment
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes and mills, compressors, ovens, test stands autoclaves etc. These will include daily, weekly, monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annually, and annually PMs services.
- Conduct reporting on all Emaint software work orders. Keep detailed records of all close and complete corrective and PM related work orders
- Complete understanding and must follow all LOTO and Arc flash policies and regulations in accordance with NFPA 70E standards.
- Training and or certification in LOTO, Arch Flash and NFPA 70E highly desired
- Diagnose operating problems and perform simple to major corrections on various types of machinery with or without assistance
- Replace, rebuild and/or overhaul worn out or broken parts for major production machinery
- Assist in the handling, collecting, disposing/distributing of hazardous materials
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, and understand and follow all 6 standards
- Fabricate machinery guarding as needed
Position Requirements
- Requires a minimum of two years’ experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and repair, with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills necessary.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English, follow verbal and written instructions, and read and interpret blueprints, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Must be able to understand, trouble shoot and repair high and low voltage electrical and electronic systems. 600v, 480v, 240v,120v,24v,12v,5v etc.
- Must be able to understand, trouble shoot and repair safety systems on equipment such as light curtains, pressure pads, safety interlocks as well as having the ability to fabricate safety guards for equipment as needed
- Must be able to troubleshoot high air pressure system, high pressure hydraulic systems and vacuum systems.
- Must be able to understand, trouble shoot, and repair Autoclaves, Electrical ovens, Punch presses, Evaporators, Smog Hogs, Chip Extractors and HVAC units <
