Who You Are & The Impact You Will Have:

The Senior Internal Communications Manager is responsible for supporting QTS’s internal communications efforts to foster the company’s culture and ensure employees are well-informed. This in-house role will work closely with marketing operations, people services, community impact, and agencies to create and promote the QTS brand, mission, and values to employees throughout QTS locations in the U.S. and Europe. They will also support coordination of forums and communications channels that reach leaders and employees, as well as executive visibility efforts.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement data-driven internal communications strategies that align with QTS’s overall goals and objectives.

  • Create and lead internal communications content and manage a broad array of internal channels including email, newsletters, intranet, videos, meetings, social media and live forums.

  • Lead the development of an internal communications calendar to support executive touch points and planned activities, including culture-building campaigns.

  • Partner with people services, community impact, and other teams to advance key messages, including proactive stories, updates and roll-outs that impact employees in the U.S. and Europe.

  • Support change management initiatives and communications planning and implementation, including leader engagement.

  • Support internal executive communications as needed, including talking points, presentations, memos, and other related content.

  • Actively track and report data findings on employee sentiment to identify opportunities to better position the company.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding for proactive and ongoing communications; manage internal communications guidelines and standard operating procedures.

  • Promote and attend special events/functions as needed; communicate corporate milestones and activities.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree

  • 5-7 years of experience in communications, including supporting executive and internal communications.

  • Demonstrate strong communications skills through excellent oral and written communication in accordance with Associated Press style guidelines and creating compelling content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the technology or data center industry.

  • Experience counseling clients and/or internal stakeholders on communications strategy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to report on key metrics and insights to leaders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of crisis communication best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across all levels of the organization.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

  • Strong service and support orientation.

  • An enthusiastic positive team player who can support and serve those around them.
