Business Performance Director and Implementation Lead
What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for developing and managing a complex transformation implementation plan across the portfolio of Technology & Workforce Strategy initiatives, provide guidance to individual program and functional teams, and ensure consistent application of transformation principles across multiple initiatives.
This role will partner with initiative leadership and subject matter experts to co-create solutions that enable program success across Technology & Workforce Strategy initiatives, then pull those solutions through into actionable plans and implement within the organization. Areas of transformation include capability building, technology and process improvements, and culture change. This role will work closely with cross-functional leadership and consultants to ensure the change management and communications framework is fit for purpose.
The Director Business Performance and Implementation Lead will gather, analyze, and synthesize cross-functional information across a variety of sources to turn unstructured business issues and requests into appropriate transformation mapping, implementation plans, and high-quality deliverables. The incumbent will also develop program level presentations and reports that clearly summarize status, issues, implications and recommendations to key partners to inform and communicate decision making.
This role will drive and lead overall implementation of complex cross-functional projects at Amgen ensuring alignment, orchestrating a disciplined approach to solutioning, and ensuring successful implementation and execution.
The ideal candidate will also have deep expertise in project management and R&D scientific and operational subject matter, including the ability to interface with and synthesize inputs from cross-functional subject matter experts, often in highly technical fields. Initial project work will focus on R&D operational transformation, with the opportunity to flex across the Amgen enterprise in the future.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing a consistent transformation methodology
Providing guidance to functional teams on project milestone planning and execution
Conduct program-level impact analysis to identify potential challenges and risks, and support the development of mitigation plans
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on implementation planning:
Establish metrics and evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of transformation and value realization metrics
Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve the transformation process.

Coach / mentor other liaisons or subject matter experts on building change management capabilities
Plan and facilitate workshops and governance discussions

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business
