Senior Documentation Specialist

The Opportunity:
Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Sr. Documentation Specialist to optimize our Masterflex organization. This IL role is full-time, on-site.

Minimum Education Requirement:
- Highschool. Associate degree preferred.
Required Experience (3+ years)
- CAD/ Solid Works software.
- Supporting an engineering team by documenting new designs and design changes of the mechanical & electrical systems of a product from concept to production.
- Collaboration tool (IE: Microsoft Office).
- Providing required documentation to insure manufacturability and the implementation of new designs and design improvements into production.
- Establishing & maintaining manufacturing specifications (IE Bill of Materials, drawings, technical input and/ or documentation).
- Experience in the use of tolerance analysis, GD&T, ISO standards, design for manufacturing, and design for assembly.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Perform other duties and cross training as assigned.
- Perform all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics.
Preferred Experience:
- Design interpretation of specifications, and the documentation and artwork associated with manuals and labels.
- Knowledge of printed circuit board documentation.
- Providing design assistance to associates relating to product improvements.
- Assembly, using simple tools, of products based on the drawings created.
- Participating with Manufacturing Engineers, Designers, & Engineers in the design of mechanical and electrical components for new and existing products.
- Maintaining engineering documents & work instructions via an engineering change process system.
- Light assembly experience.

As a member of the Masterflex engineering team, the Sr. Documentation Specialist, uses independent judgment, is technically competent and is capable of handling projects with some guidance & supervision. By working within a fast-paced, collaborative global environment, you will help meet the team goals.
Utilizing your strong work ethic and ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization, you will utilize excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate changes to multiple levels of the organization.
This role will:
- Participate in Continuous Process Improvement to meet department & company goals.
- Provide technical assistance & expertise to manufacturing, striving for process improvements & corrective action.
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner and obey all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform work in an office environment with frequent exposure to manufacturing plant activity while using Personal Protective Equipment as required.
