Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 7 years of sales management experience with 3PL knowledge highly preferred
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals in previous roles with a strong desire to win
- Experience in transportation industry sales
- Experience in managing third-party logistics’ relationships
- A valid driver’s license
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in supply chain, economics, or logistics
- Less-than-truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Perform as the sales leader for the 3PL-specific national team; represent upper management and communicate direction to national account executives
- Provide guidance and direction to the individual sellers to grow revenue and profit through the strategic third-party partners and the affiliated customer base
- Directly supervise NAEs, including hiring staff, directing work, conducting performance reviews, coaching the team, delivering disciplinary measures, making termination recommendations, etc.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent for the 3PL sales team
- Collaborate and maintain ongoing rapport with regional sales leadership on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and customer concerns
- Work closely with operational leaders on large-scale customer onboarding opportunities and improvement plans
- Utilize reporting tools provided (Salesforce.com, BI, etc.) to monitor progress, analyze trends and revenue, and develop corrective strategies to achieve company goals
- Aid in the professional development of the National Account Executives through formal coaching and mentoring, working closely with the learning and development department on programs to enhance negotiation skills
- Participate and contribute to interdepartmental meetings related to resource management, contractual agreements, and revenue/profit expansion<
