The Role You’ll Play:

Lead design strategy and execution for the CB Insights platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate user pain and business objectives into intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences.

Your Main Tasks:

• Define and drive the design strategy and user experience for our platform across web, mobile, browser extensions, and integrations. Ensure alignment with business goals and user needs.
• Lead and mentor a team of talented product designers, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to foster creativity and excellence.
• Partner with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand user pain, data and insights, market trends, and technological innovations
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept ideation and wireframing to prototyping and final implementation, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across all touchpoints.
• Build a practice and culture of user research, usability testing, and data analysis to gain insights into user behavior and preferences that inform critical design decisions
• Champion a user-centric design approach and advocate for the importance of design thinking throughout the organization.
• Keep leadership and the broader org informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations, and incorporate relevant insights into our product design strategy.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading and delivering successful design projects in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
• 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of product designers, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellence with Balsamiq and Figma. Knowledge of Productboard a plus.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking methods, and design systems
• Understanding of and passion for Generative Artificial Intelligence and the UX possibilities of conversational AI 
• Maniacally high standards and taste
• Urgency in the way you operate and lead teams
• Rigorous, clear, and compelling thinking demonstrated in how you present, write, and collaborate

In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.

A little bit about our pay practices: Typically, we will hire at our Hiring Target, but actual starting pay may be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, candidate experience, and budgetary constraints.

Compensation$123,000—$155,800 USD
