Job Summary

Self-directed, innovative senior level product leader responsible for technological advances and continuously pushing the envelope with our products. Accountable for leading the development and delivery of new products by conducting market research, creating product timeframes and plans, and crafting marketing strategies for new products. Charged with leading and directing the focus on technology’s long-term vision and roadmap, stories and business relationships. Responsible for leading and evaluating the performance of people.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the entire vision and delivery of innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive
  • Conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and launching a new product 
  • Develop a long-term product strategy for the production support team and stakeholders to reference
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products, understand industry trends and business needs
  • Clearly communicate the vision and goals of existing and new products
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and creativity
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Direct efforts with customers, team members, Support teams and external influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and emerging needs
  • Identify and present innovative product solutions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Incident management and ITIL concepts and processes, including Change, Problem, Service Request, and Service Desk
  • Participating actively in weekly Change Advisory Board and Problem Management meetings
  • Full commitment to the development of a continuous operations culture (24x7 management)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and its modules, with a focus on Incident, Major Incidents, Reports, and Dashboards
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, MS Teams, and Avaya software
  • Emphasizing goal setting.
• Responsible for digital product strategy and value delivery in Digital Product Lines
  • Prioritize product opportunities using criteria and requirements defined during research
  • Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products
  • Maintain Release Plan and coordinate product releases with business and development teams
  • Manage Product Backlog and make appropriate tradeoffs to deliver the highest value 
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offerings
• Conduct work across cross-functional teams in cross-functional partnerships (across business, product, design, and engineering teams) to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective digital solutions
  • Support active development to ensure product requirements are satisfied
  • Lead and participate in planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on the direction of products
  • Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders
• Utilize complex data sets to gain insight into use cases and validate business needs and requirements.
• Ensures integration technology products across business domains.
• Provides guidance on business implications of any proposed changes to various products within business groups.
• Ensure alignment of complex products to business strategy.
• Translate business needs into functional outcomes for complex products.
• Facilitates requirements discussion towards stated business goals and manages group dynamics for high visibility products.
• Identifies business impacts and works to resolve scope and boundary issues.
• Guide in communities of practice and drive maturity in CSX’s product management capability

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
• 7 or more years of experience in management or technical leadership of IT projects
• 1 or more years of experience in leadership (direct reports or function/service)
