Job Description
The Terrain Park Lead is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the terrain parks and halfpipe, set up/breakdown for events in the venues and providing outstanding guest relations to all park users. Leads monitor the performance of both the terrain park workers and advanced workers and provide feedback to the supervisor and manager. This position reports to the Terrain Park Director.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversee daily maintenance including raking, shoveling, salting and setting up/breaking down banners, flags, signage, fencing, etc.
- Inspect features daily; close as needed for safety
- Test features as directed by park management
- Design and create parks using Google Sketch Up
- Oversee schedule, preparation and implementation of rail and feature set up
- Report guest injuries to ski patrol and assist at accident scene; complete paperwork as needed
- Ensure logbooks are completed neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
- Operate salt monkey, snowmobile, chainsaw and other small machinery
- Educate park users and promotes terrain park etiquette
- Assist with on-the-job training for terrain park workers
- Monitor performance of workers and provide feedback to manager
- Interact with Ski Patrol daily, call in opening/closing of parks
- Represent park crew at snowmobile and safety committee meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in English; some Spanish helpful
- Successful completion of ASC snowmobile licensing training
- Successful completion of ASC chainsaw certification
- Basic snowcat operating experience preferred
- First Aid certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of park design/lay out and event experience preferred
- Knowledge of safely handling and operating heavy and dangerous machinery
- Basic understanding and use of Google Sketch Up
- Comfortable working on mountain terrain including steep grades
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
- Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively with others
- Basic industry terminology
- Demonstrates expertise in the technical aspect of the job

- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
