About the role

Responsibilities

·        Serve as liaison with Finance Department on grant contracts, invoices, monitoring, tracking, and reporting grant and/or contract activities of the 1199SEIU Child Care Corporation.

·        Serves as lead in the preparation and completion of grant source reporting by funding agencies; manage contracts and invoices as it relates to grants held by the 1199SEIU Child Care Corporation.

·        Prepare financial analysis, reconciliation and ad hoc reports using Excel Pivot tables, or other required software; follow up with Programs Department and Finance Department on payment and reporting information.

·        Responsible for the review and audit of budget modifications, addendums, vendor payments, check requests, and reports for accuracy.

·        Update, organize and maintain grant files and tracking system.

·        Conduct daily review of general ledger account activity and match to Programs Department invoicing and grant allowances.

·        Coordinate with Programs Department and Fundraising and Development team to complete all grant required paperwork on a timely basis; prepare and gather data for auditor under supervision of Senior Program Budget Analyst.

·        Troubleshoot issues and provide problem resolution with vendors, institutions and program staff regarding contract and grant payments; consult with Programs Department to obtain funding source documents.

·        Perform special projects and assignments as directed by management.

 

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant years of experience required.

·        Minimum (three) 3 years’ experience extracting data, creating, and analyzing reports using database applications (i.e., Excel, Pivot tables) required; grants and contracts experience preferred.

·        Ability to analyze financial information and interact with multiple system environments.

·        Must be detailed-oriented and well organized with the ability to reconcile financial and statistical data.

·        Basic skill level in Microsoft Excel required, intermediate level preferred; knowledge of Financial Systems (Oracle) preferred.

·        Knowledge of basic accounting and grant reporting preferred.

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — oral, written and listening.

·        Demonstrated experience with grant audits, budgets, contracts, analysis, and reports.
