Manager Accounting

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, supervising staff; ensure that accounting records and documentation comply with the requirements of the Group Finance Manual.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Meets accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions

•    Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls

•    Verifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related information

•    Monitor monthly intercompany reconciliation

•    Plan and manage accounting procedures, ensure month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the company

•    Key contact for internal and external auditors

•    Oversee and maintain the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications

•    Supervise creation of financial reports according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local GAAP

•    Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies and procedures, statutory and financial requirements and local tax regulations

•    Key contact for outsourced tax partner. Responsible to review and approve tax returns

•    Business partner for projects rolled out across the company

•    Provides training to workers in both orally and writing form on accounting systems, principles and practices

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

•    Experienced in job and fully qualified/trained 
•    Combined broad theoretical and practical knowledge incl. company policies and practices
•    Strong competence with various tools, procedures, principally SAP and Microsoft Office
•    CFIN is a plus

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

•    5 Years experience, preferably in Accounting, Taxes and/or Treasury.
•    CPA is a plus
