We are searching for a Manager of Medical Staff Services and Education-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will oversee and manage graduate and continuing medical education (CME) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) staff. Oversight and management of all regulatory and Stark Law requirements as they pertain to the organized medical staff. Planning and collaboration with all in-chiefs in support of high-level medical staff committees such as the Medical Executive Committee, Surgical Department Executive Committee, Credentials Committee, CME and Graduate Medical Education (GMEC) and other Medical Department meetings.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversees all aspects of the medical education oversight processes to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and CLER standards. Recommends and develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Establishes quality monitoring mechanisms to conduct the ongoing quality evaluation of education programs. Identifies opportunities for education needed to facilitate the smooth adherence to onboarding learners.
• Provides leadership, education and direction to the medical staff officers, chiefs of service, department heads, committee chairmen and members, and other health care professionals in the development of medical staff policies and the mechanisms.
• Ensures high functioning CME, MOC and GMEC programs are accreditation ready.
• Lead the development, evaluation and revision of policies and procedures for medical staff services, assimilating and synthesizing data to incorporate applicable legal, ethical, accrediting, licensing, certifying and institutional requirements.
• Supervises department staff in the performance of their responsibilities, as well as their interaction with the medical staff.
• Sets challenging annual goals for the department and staff counsels and evaluates employees regarding job performance. Coaches’ department for success.
• Leads the development, evaluation and revision of policies and procedures for medical staff services.
• Establishes priorities, workflow, and standards of performance.
Skills & Requirements
• Required Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other healthcare or business field of study.
• Preferred Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other healthcare or business field of study
• Preferred CPMSM – Certified Professional Medical Service Management certification
• Required 4 years’ experience in quality, project management, or healthcare industry and a preferred 2 years in supervisory/managerial experience preferred
