Job Description

SUMMARY

The Project Manager oversees all phases construction projects, from project concept through erection and final turnover. This role requires effective management of budgets, schedules, and contracts while fostering strong collaboration across cross-functional teams. The Project Manager will serve as a key communicator, aligning project goals with the needs of construction, logistics, manufacturing, and stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects.

 

Project Oversight & Planning:

  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, including budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Develop and update project schedules with input from internal teams.
  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving innovation and continuous improvement in modular construction workflows and best practices.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, logistics, design/engineering, and manufacturing groups.
  • Lead regular project team meetings and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide clear direction to project teams, fostering accountability and teamwork.
  • Support the professional growth of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, aligning team efforts with project goals.

Budgeting & Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules of values, and financial tracking systems.
  • Monitor costs and manage change orders with subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Approve invoices and ensure financial performance aligns with project objectives.

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:

  • Prepare, negotiate, and execute subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Evaluate and manage subcontractor and supplier performance.
  • Oversee material procurement and delivery to meet project timelines.

Compliance & Safety Oversight:

  • Ensure on-site activities comply with safety standards and government regulations, promoting health and safety practices.
  • Obtain necessary permits and ensure adherence to local and federal codes.
  • Monitor quality control and enforce compliance with project specifications.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, management, and external partners.
  • Lead weekly project meetings.
  • Prepare accurate progress reports, updates, and documentation for stakeholders.

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in construction project management.
  • At least 2-3 years in a supporting role, such as Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver construction projects on time and within budget successfully.
  • Proven experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple project phases.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of Project Managers, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure successful project execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale and smaller projects concurrently, effectively balancing priorities, resources, and timelines to achieve business objectives.
  • Procore Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification are strongly preferred.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in the essential functions of the role may also be considered.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
