Position Summary:

Under the supervision of Warehouse Supervisor, verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. Collectively maintain an accurate record of the items stored. Deliver and pick up items throughout the tribal enterprises. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform delivery and warehouse duties and functions to support receiving, storage, movement, and distribution of Tribal assets.
  • Receive product from vendors; effectively store product to maximize space while utilizing proper handling and safety techniques, including quality inspection of all incoming and outgoing inventory product.
  • Ensure receiving software and spreadsheets are maintained with the most current data; ensure all transactions are properly documented, accurate, and completed.
  • Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Post weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Complete truck and vehicle inspection at the start of shift, including any seasonal requirements including snow removal and ice. Inspections of any vehicle defects must be reported in the vehicle log and report it to the supervisor.
  • Conduct daily power equipment inspection in compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Operate all warehouse equipment, delivery vans, and box trucks in accordance with safe operating procedures, including maintenance of an Industrial Truck Operator Permit (fork lifts, power equipment), Tribal Drivers License, DOT Physical Certificate, and licensing as needed per fleet requirement.
  • Deliver and move product from warehouse to site needed; accurately pick and prepare shipping orders to meet shipping cutoff times. Properly stage and document outgoing product, as well as loading, driving, and unloading the product and getting the appropriate signature for goods and packages delivered.
  • Return all customer-refused product, including restocking incorrect picks, notifying the supervisor on returned items, wasted items and schedule pickups of merchandise from various shipping and trucking companies.
  • Ensure FIFO methodology is followed when performing all tasks on a daily basis.
  • Perform physical inventories and assist in research, auditing, and data entry.
