A day in the life…

Impact:

• Create, evolve, deliver & communicate effectively through use of appropriate Industrial Engineering tools and adherence to IE discipline that align to the strategy

Independently leads the following:

• Establish Standard Work
• Conduct time and motion studies and approves labor standards
• Work with business partners to deliver space planning ideas. Outline alternatives for process, equipment and system design
• Analyze and evaluates methods for optimal operations
• Provide accurate analysis and consideration of alternatives and outcomes. Provide design input for granular level components
• Create and deliver AutoCad Layout for moderate scale space planning and process design
• Use data to report status, performance, and define issues
• Develop ideas and concepts to translate to continuous improvement ideas, cost/benefit analysis and change initiatives for smaller scope projects.
• Develop skills in discrete simulation and capacity analyses
• Develop level of understanding to work with technical documentation including architectural, mechanical, electrical and software to assess designs and issues as required, with guidance from manager.

Leadership:

• Develop relationships and engage key business partners and collaborate to address issues
• Demonstrate ownership and initiative over assigned tasks, and manages multiple tasks at the same time
• Communicate variances and scope changes
• Identifie issues/changes and solutions to leadership
• Listen effectively and asks questions to identify needs and share information
• Leverage communication standards to distribute information to appropriate audience
• Frequently facilitate team progress independently; lead meetings and cross-discipline collaborations
• Influence rationale occasionally
• Clearly communicate using relevant data supplied by others
• Supports the team to gather data to report status, performance and define issues
• Actively seek, absorb and take action on feedback

You own this if you have…

• 3+ years of industrial engineering experience focused on workforce management, labor modeling & planning

• Experience labor modeling and planning for retail operations highly desireable

• Proficient practice of industrial engineering discipline and tasks on established and new process, system and equipment.

• Advanced understanding and application of end-to-end industrial engineering discipline, processes, and tools.

• Experience analyzing and synthesizing data to identify trends and formulate recommendations that inform and influence leadership decision making   

• Experience interacting and communicating clearly/concisely with senior leadership

• MOST certification or training highly preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or closely related field highly desired
