Director of Development Position

 Xiente's Director of Development is a key leadership position, reporting to the acting VP of Development, responsible for driving new revenue growth by securing financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. This front-line fundraiser will implement Xiente's fund development plan, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new funding partnerships while collaborating with internal teams (Executive Leadership, Compliance, Programs, Finance, Grant Writer, and Donor Stewardship) to exceed donor expectations and further our mission of empowering individuals and families to achieve economic mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implement a comprehensive fundraising plan: Execute strategies to cultivate and solicit new donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

· Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects: Build relationships with potential major donors through events, personal visits, and other engagement activities.

· Manage corporate partnerships: Secure sponsorships, grants, and in-kind support from corporations. Grant writing support is provided by other team members.

· Oversee foundation relations: Research, identify, and cultivate relationships with foundations, and submit compelling grant proposals supported by Xiente grant writer(s).

· Develop and execute fundraising campaigns: Plan and implement annual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, and other fundraising initiatives.

· Manage donor stewardship: Develop and implement strategies to recognize, cultivate, and retain existing donors in partnership with the Xiente’s Donor Stewardship Manager.

· Support donor database and record-keeping: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of donor information and interactions.

· Collaborate with program, finance & leadership staff: Work closely with program staff to identify funding needs and develop compelling proposals that align with Xiente's programs and services.

· Represent Xiente at external events: Attend community events and conferences to network and promote Xiente's mission.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate

? Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

? 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

? Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage and inspire donors.

? Experience with donor database management and fundraising software.

? Knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical standards.

? Passion for Xiente's mission and commitment to social justice and economic equity.

Salary Description $100,000-$120,000
