Job Description: 

This position is for a leadership role in the Network Solutions team in Intel's IT organization. The candidate will lead a team of senior network engineers whose responsibilities are to enable key business solutions across a broad scope of networking in Intel. They will be responsible for one or more global domains in networking which are critical to Intel's business.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

• Bringing vision and purpose to life and inspiring passion in teams

• Build deep team trust, create sustained followership and engaged employees

• Ensure that solutions and capabilities meet the needs of Intel business units and factories while not adversely impacting velocity.

• Establish, develop, and foster strong stakeholder, customer, and partner relationships with focus on road map alignment and flawless product/process insertions.

• Establish proactive, predictable, and repeatable processes with business partners to enable business initiatives provided by partners.

• Responsible for the definition of multi-year comprehensive Network infrastructure strategy, including replacement, foundational, and transformational initiatives.

• Lead or oversee the identification of security trends and evolving threats, to define mitigation and/or containment strategies.

• Setting overall domain and business strategy/roadmaps with key technical partners, ensuring stakeholder buy off to those plans and driving to a successful completion.

• There will be a requirement to manage to an annual budget ensuring Intel's financial responsibilities are met and that all opportunities for cost optimization are investigated and where appropriate driven to a successful completion.

• Managing vendor relationships with strategic partners e.g., Tier 1 Internet Service Providers and management/relationship of a managed service partner who supports critical elements of the business.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science or related field and 6+ years of experience -OR- a master’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in:

• 6+ years of leadership roles experience in a complex and highly dynamic networking environment.

• 6+ years of experience working in an Agile and ITIL environment and has helped shape and manage APT and business SLA performance to exceptional levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering managerial roles in a complex and highly dynamic networking environment.

• Prior experience in a high-tech or financial environment

• Ability to travel globally as business needs dictate.

• Proven track record of successful outcomes of negotiations with strategic partners e.g., Tier 1 ISP'
