We are seeking a Senior Project Director to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia, to lead and work on various Federal Transportation Project Management Controls projects.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Performs project management for a combination of projects supporting transportation systems. Responsible for the overall project management, and ensuring the technical solutions and schedule are implemented in a timely fashion. Strong knowledge of and experience in the principles and activities related to the development and support of transportation systems.
- Must be experienced in the FTA PMOC Program and its Operating procedures
- Provide Engineering and transit evaluation of transit projects assigned.
- Be well versed in engineering principals and transit systems.
- Develops programs, projects, and applies strategic problem-solving skills ensuring timely solutions to complex construction management program issues.
- Applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities ensuring project requirements are met.
- Ensures work is performed in accordance with the contract documents.
- Establishes all necessary liaisons, coordination, and support with any project-related agencies and representatives of federal, state, regional, and local governments as appropriate for each task order.
- Maintains all project plans, project-related calendars, projects task plans, project budgets, and coordinates all associated Project Management Office activities.
- Manages the project across the project life cycle from initiation to closure.
- Prepares and monitors project Work Plan, Quality Plan, and Schedules and coordinates project resource efforts to reach objectives.
- Provides guidance to the contractor team that is responsible for achieving the objectives of the PWS.
- Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
What will you contribute?
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in a related field
- P.E. required
- At a minimum, one of the following certifications are required: PgMp, PMP, or CCM
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage individuals and teams, provide leadership, and manage project production. Must have business vision, excellent communication skills, and be able to represent the firm effectively to clients, key public officials, and the community in general.
