Your impact will be felt across the squad and team, and you will also get to contribute to cross-department <span>initiatives.  </span></p></li><li><p>You will get to be a role model to other engineers and actively mentor less experienced engineers on the team by providing guidance and support when needed.  </p></li><li><p>You will be an expert in either backend or frontend technology stacks with working knowledge in the other.  </p></li><li><p>You’ll engage with stakeholders and collaborate with key experts to shape the right technical solutions that deliver real customer value. </p></li><li><p>You’ll get to lead technically while working alongside design and product to shape impactful solutions. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>The skills you bring:  </b></p><ul><li><p>Expertise in designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs (GraphQL + REST) in Python, leveraging 5-7+ years of backend engineering experience. </p></li><li><p>Proficiency in developing and optimising data pipelines for large-scale ingestion, transformation, analytics, and real-time querying. </p></li><li><p>Experience building backend integrations with AWS services (ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, Neptune, CloudFront, ALB). </p></li><li><p>Experience in building secure, reliable, and performant services, leveraging AWS, and observability tooling (Splunk). </p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Git and collaborative engineering practices to drive quality and consistency. <br/> </p></li></ul><p><b>Achievements: </b></p><ul><li><p>Implemented best practices in security, authentication, and performance optimisation in backend systems, resulting in more robust, secure, and efficient applications. </p></li><li><p>Mentored and guided junior engineers, promoting coding, architecture, and DevOps best practices, enhancing team capabilities and overall delivery quality. </p></li><li><p>Designed and delivered analytics features enabling real-time insights and interactive data visualisations, empowering customers to track and understand culture, performance, and engagement trends. (Nice to have) </p></li><li><p>Enhanced CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure using Jenkins, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeArtifact, Docker, and Terraform, improving deployment speed and reliability. (Nice to have) </p></li><li><p>Partnered with frontend engineers (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) to deliver seamless, API-driven experiences, ensuring high performance and usability across platforms.
