Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the networks and systems that keep our organization running. From maintaining ironclad security to implementing network updates and training users, the administrator is not only IT support but also the thread that connects all operations. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software is essential for the network administrator to excel in this role and help drive our organization forward.
Responsibilities: ·       Research, selection, planning, and implementation of new technologies to support scaling of applications to meet business needs·       Assist in network implementation and maintenance ·       Provide network support across organizational operating systems ·       Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network devices ·       Implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery ·       Maintain network access devices and associated hardware, software, services, and settings ·       Implement and test system and security upgrades ·       Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance ·       Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions ·       Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
Required Skills: ·       2+ years’ experience in a network administration role ·       Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures ·       Proven skills in network administration, operations, and performance analysis ·       Experience with Cisco switches and routers, and Palo Alto Firewalls ·       Experience with systems management and monitoring tools ·       Strong communication skills for training and assisting users·       Experience with multi-vendor platforms, such as Palo Alto, Microsoft, and VMware desired
Required Education·       High School diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience OR ·       Associate degree in network engineering, information technology, or a related field with 2+ years of experience·       Professional certifications highly desired (e.g., CCNA, Network+)
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Special Requirements: This position is 100% on-site. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, and in some cases, with little to no advance notice. This position requires that the applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Compensation:The pay range for this position is $88,000-$107,800 + bonus + benefits. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
