Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team building solutions for Wells Capital Markets technology organization and we’re looking for individuals to join us on our automation and modernization journey.  If you’re passionate about solving complex and mission critical problems with leading-edge innovative technologies through solid engineering practices this role could be perfect for you. In this role you will be building out of strategic cloud complaint platforms to support various strategic business initiatives. This role requires very strong technical knowledge of Java and a solid foundation of server design methodologies. In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Java development experience
  • 5+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
  • 2+ years or relational or NoSQL DB experience
  • 2+ years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience
  • 2+ years working Kubernetes like container technology
  • 2+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP
  • 2+ years using cloud based open source Distributed Caching technology
  • 2+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise
  • Any experience with UI development using Javascript/React technologies is a plus
  • Financial Services experience preferably Capital Market Experience

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$191,000.00 - $305,000.00
