This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with recognized Category Management experience to join our high-performing Metals Global Category Management Team where you can grow &amp; develop your career.</p><p></p><p><b><u>What you will do:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Formulate and implement processes to build a best in class strategic procurement organization</p></li><li><p>Leading cross functional teams to develop best in class strategic procurement strategies for assigned categories in support of business objectives</p></li><li><p>Drive implementation of category strategies which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, supplier selection, and financial analyses</p></li><li><p>Develop a contract strategy for key suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor and enforce when applicable</p></li><li><p>Develop strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses</p></li><li><p>Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans</p></li><li><p>Obtain and communicate, through regular Category Updates, market condition information, commercial opportunities, category strategy updates, active RFQ's, and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers</p></li><li><p>Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes</p></li><li><p>Perform cost analyses in partnership with Value Engineering and engage in cost based negotiations with suppliers</p></li><li><p>Participate in new product launches; lead supplier selection and collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launch</p></li><li><p>Align with stakeholders and present business cases to Procurement Leadership</p></li><li><p>Create and maintain a pipeline of Procurement Initiatives via Procurement Initiatives Tracker</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Divisional Procurement Stakeholders on Commercial Horizons, Cost Savings Opportunities, New Product Introduction Pipeline, RFQ's, and Supplier Performance</p></li><li><p>May mentor / provide support for graduate /entry level positions</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>What you need:</b></u></p><p><b>Required</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field required</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English, both written and verbal</p></li><li><p>10+ years of experience in supply management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development</p></li><li><p>Experience operating in a highly regulated industry    </p></li><li><p>Demonstrated excellence in contractual negotiations and administration to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills, ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in the assessment and mitigation of risk in the supply base -preferred</p></li><li><p>International procurement and supplier management experience -preferred            </p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p>Travel Percentage: 20%<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
