We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Communications Specialist, Internal Communications to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing key internal communication initiatives and will be at the heart of ensuring our employees have the information they need to help us achieve our mission, to help our Pinners create lives they love. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Omni-channel Communications Support + Content Creation : You will take the lead on ensuring the right content is in the right channels to reach internal audiences across Pinterest, including crafting omni-channel communications campaigns and building a variety of content, from written communications to short videos. 
  • Channel Metrics + Measurement: You will be responsible for tracking key metrics to measure the success of the internal communications function across channels, including around all hands, intranet content, and other channels and advise on how we should adjust our strategy based on the data. 
  • Intranet Implementation Support: You will support the migration of our company intranet to a new platform, working closely with various departments to help onboard new teams and support the transition of more content and communications to the intranet. This includes:
    • Helping to onboard more teams so that they can manage more content and communications via the new intranet. 
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, address concerns, and integrate diverse perspectives.
    • Help integrate the new intranet into our overall Internal Communications channel mix. 
    • Regularly updating the intranet (~3x per week) with new content from Comms, including press and social media highlights. 
  • All Hands Project Management: You’ll be responsible for project management of our ~monthly, company wide all hands. This includes: 
    • Manage logistics and project management of the event production – including acting as a production manager and liaisoning with the AV Team to ensure a smooth program for all involved and watching.
    • Coordinate content collection and ensure key deadlines are met. 
    • Partner with the deck designer and teams to ensure we have compelling visuals.
    • Support the live event, held live in our San Francisco office on a ~monthly basis. 

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience in communications (including internal communications), preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing and using intranets as a core internal communications channel, within a broader channel mix.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing successful internal communication programs.
  • An eye for detail and systematic approach to managing and updating program and project resources.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and introducing new ways of working with Internal Communications as a strategic partner.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and internal communication tools is a plus.
  • Experience with intranet migrations or content management is a plus.
  • A can-do attitude, and someone who holds themselves accountable for deliverables and outcomes.
  • Comfortable speaking with, counseling and influencing senior leaders.
