About the role

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to oversee ~$9 billion assets under management. The CIO reports to the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration and works very closely with the Chair and other members of the University's Trustee Investment Committee. The CIO will provide leadership, management, and investment expertise to the University's investment activities. The primary objective of the position is to optimize the performance of the University's investment portfolios. The individual will work with the Committee on Investments to further develop the University's investment policy guidelines and objectives, asset allocation guidelines, portfolio guidelines, as well as performance guidelines, including benchmarks and risk management controls. The CIO will build and maintain a consensus for these policies within the Committee on Investments, manage expectations, and provide investment support for various University constituencies.
