About the role:
We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and creative Director of Performance Marketing to lead Samsara’s global paid media programs across search, paid social, and account-based advertising (ABM). In this role, you’ll set the strategy, scale execution, and ensure measurable impact across pipeline creation, expansion, and revenue efficiency.
You’ll lead a team of channel experts and partner closely with Demand Generation, Sales, Marketing Ops, Product Marketing, and Brand to drive growth across multiple customer segments and regions. The right candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and ability to dive into execution details, thrives in experimentation-driven environments, and is motivated by driving impact from awareness through closed-won.
This is a hybrid position requiring one day per week in our San Francisco office and four days working remotely. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
In this role, you will:
- Lead Samsara’s paid acquisition and expansion strategy across search ads (Google, Bing), paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, Youtube), ABM advertising (6sense, RollWorks, programmatic platforms), Referral, Affiliate, experimental channels.
- Define channel objectives, budget allocation, and ROI targets that align with company growth goals.
- Develop a full-funnel approach to drive awareness, pipeline generation, and account expansion.
- Partner closely with Sales, PMM, Demand Generation, and Marketing Ops to align targeting, messaging, and lead flow.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of channel specialists and vendors.
- Implement experimentation frameworks for creative testing, bidding, and audience segmentation to maximize performance.
- Lead analytics and measurement, connecting paid media investment to other growth channels as well as pipeline, ARR, and ROI metrics.
- Collaborate with Creative teams to deliver compelling, high-performing assets for every stage of the funnel.
- Evaluate new channels and technologies (e.g. AI workflows, connected TV, podcast ads) to expand reach and efficiency.

- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 10+ years of experience in performance marketing with at least 5 years in people management.
- Proven experience owning paid media strategy and execution across search, paid social, and ABM in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Track record of achieving pipeline, ROI, and CAC efficiency targets at scale.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, able to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Deep platform expertise with Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and ABM platforms such as 6sense or RollWorks. Experience with Reddit, Podcast ads, CTV and content syndication is a plus. - Experience managing vendors, large media budgets, and multi-region campaigns.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with Sales, Creative, Marketing Ops, and Product Marketing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience in global or multi-segment B2B campaigns (Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB).
- Familiarity with intent signal providers, AI-powered optimization tools, and creative testing
