Position Summary
The FP&A Director will be responsible for FP&A activities for the Intercontinental Region Commercialization organization including financial oversight to drive improved business performance and facilitate timely decision making. Additionally the FP&A Director will lead the Intercontinental Region HQ Commercialization FP&A team.
The FP&A Director will be recognized as an influential and collaborative Finance business partner who leads beyond the role and effectively interacts at all levels of the organization to deliver financial planning & analysis. The role reports to the Executive Director Commercialization HQ FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and own the financial planning processes and timelines (Budget, Projections & Actuals), working closely with VP Finance, Intercontinental Region, Intercontinental Region Finance Directors, Executive Director FP&A Commercialization HQ and team, as well as CFP&A, Investor Relations and their teams.
- Drive transparent reporting/analysis of Region performance and financial results and provide region/market insights and future outlook.
- Identify material risks and opportunities and actively participate in designing and executing response or contingency plans
- Shape resource allocation across the Region to maximize value creation and partner closely with functional leaders to deliver targeted results.
- Drive continuous focus on evolving ways of working and improve/simplify processes and deliverables.
- Lead assigned projects, managing deliverables and expectations across a broad range of stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- BS/BA or equivalent required, finance, accounting or a related field; MBA preferred
- CPA or equivalent a plus (though not required)
- Minimum 10-12 years of relevant Finance experience
- Strong financial planning and analysis background and extensive experience with end-to-end business planning cycles, budgeting processes, demand forecasting, and profitability analyses
- Solid understanding of commercial business models and broad understanding of Commercialization Finance operations is an advantage
- Prior Commercialization P&L accountability, extensive FP&A experience, and US/International market experience
- Strong business partnering skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong ability to influence and lead in a matrixed organization, strong intercultural skills.
