Collins Aerospace in Fairfield, CA is seeking a Production Associate IV for their Fairfield, CA site. The Propulsion Systems business of Collins Aerospace specializes in designing, manufacturing, and testing various energetic devices. Our products include system components that ensure the safe ejection of pilots from fighter jets and helicopters. Our team creates a range of cartridge-actuated devices, propellant-actuated devices, and linear devices that support military and commercial applications with pride.

Compensation:

• 30.35 per hour starting rate

• Paid vacation & sick time

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Overtime available and/or mandatory on a business need basis

What You Will Do

• Lead daily Tier I meetings.  Communicate daily priorities to other operators and adjust as necessary.

• Close work orders, issue parts and prep orders to EOP.

• Run reports and track daily progress

• Assist team members in training on specific task and PHA as needed. (PHA courses available)​

• Update cell JHA on EHS smart in a timely manner.

• Help the team with solving basic production issues without Supervisor direction

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with operators, group leads, and supervisors from other departments to help establish procedures and resolve issues.

• Effectively escalate issues and priority calls to leadership, as necessary.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED in the U.S.) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.

• Experience in supervising/mentoring a team.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Minimum 1 year of explosive or chemical manufacturing or handling experience.

• Two years energetic materials processing, manufacturing, and/or assembly experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
