About the role

Responsibilities:Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Define project deliverables and milestones.Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Use lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Design and Development: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.Project Execution: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of project execution, including procurement, production, testing, and delivery. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes. Address any issues that arise promptly and effectively.Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical specifications. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, production, and quality assurance, to achieve project objectives. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong relationships.Training and Support: Provide training and support to production teams on new processes, equipment, and tools. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions as needed.Continuous Improvement: Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities for process optimization and innovation.Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.3+ years of experience in manufacturing project engineering or a related role.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
