About the Role:

We are looking for our a Director, Co-Brand Partnership Development to join our team. You will be reporting directly to our SVP of Marketing and partnering very closely with our Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to identify and expand on our current co-brand card partnerships.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Identify and build a strong pipeline of co-brand card partnership opportunities
  • Negotiate and execute key co-brand card partnerships that drive business results and support the business strategy
  • Work cross functionally to develop and deliver partner proposals, including overall vision, partnership economics, and product integration
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities to inform partner strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry leaders and potential partners

 

What We Look For:

  • Minimum 10+ years industry experience, preferably across payments, fintech and/or financial services/banking  
  • Experience in developing partnerships in the Affinity, Loyalty, Co-branded credit cards industry is a plus
  • Ability to manage complex partnerships and commercial negotiations with minimal supervision
  • Experience formulating business strategy, including structuring problems, completing analysis, and making recommendations
  • Sense of urgency with disposition to execute and a demonstrated career of successful partnership and/or deal execution
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter, work independently and drive collaboration with a high level of success/achievement
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience working cross functionally in fast paced/high growth organizations
  • Deep analytical skills including understanding of common financial statements and ability to build financial models.  Strong proficiency in Powerpoint, and Excel

  The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $200,000 - $250,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Upgrade has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States and Canada, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range could vary depending on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.    #BI-Hybrid
