$83.970 - $108.360 - $121.360

Provides/enhances patient care based on advanced nursing practice principles in area of specialty.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing Or
- Master's Degree Related to Health Care or equivalent experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- California Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certificate - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 Years
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration - U.S. Department of Justice -PREFERRED
Essential Functions
- Achieves operational outcomes
Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to resolve daily operational issues when supervising unit.
Performs one or more of the following:
* Facilitates staff in prioritizing and problem solving daily operational issues;
* Collaborates with Physicians to address operational issues;
* Demonstrates resolution of operational issue with targeted outcomes as negotiated with manager or director; and
* Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to resolve identifies issues with demonstrated improvement in operational flow. - Collaboration
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills in the area of specialty when consulted by interdisciplinary team members.
Collaborates with members of health care team in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating comprehensive healthcare for patients and families.
Improves outcomes due to interventions with others. - Education patient and family
Assesses the learning needs of patients/families in collaboration with members of the health care team.
Plans, provides, and coordinates patient/family education.
Participates in the evaluation of patient/family education outcomes. - Human resource management
All 90 day and annual performance reviews are completed within 30 days of due date.
Assures employee files are current and complete including annual PPD, CPR, RN licensure, safety test, etc.
Performs one or more of the following:
* Orients/mentors staff into new roles resulting in achieved competencies within identified timelines;
* Develops staff's leadership skills, facilitating learning and growth;
* Assists staff to resolve identified learning/performance issues; and
* Develops new area of expertise relevant to human resource management. - Oversee productivity
Achieves productivity score between 98-100%.
Monitors flexing, on-call, skill mix, use of overtime, per diem and registry.
Performs one or more of the following:
* Identifies and/or participates in implementation of cost reducing or revenue enhancing ideas;
* Contributes to utilization of supplies in a cost-effective manner that supports delivery of care within budgeted supply expense per unit of service;
* Contributes to meeting budgeted salary expense per unit of service; and
* Develops new area of expertise relevant to resource management. - Patient care
Assessment: Performs ongoing assessment based on advanced nursing practice principles and specialty knowledge of patient population within scope of NP practice.
Patient database/documentation complete including history, physical assessment.
Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic testing.
Identifies appropriate differential diagnoses.
Plan of care promotes optimal health outcomes and development of goals incorporates interdisciplinary input.
Intervention: Advanced nursing principles and practices applied per standardized procedures including furnishing medications as clinically indicated.
Evaluation: Patient progress towards goals evaluated and plan of care altered based on evaluation.
