Senior Full Stack Engineer

What does a successful Senior Full Stack Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be a valuable technical resource designing and developing enterprise solutions and working with Solution Architects within Fiserv’s Merchant reporting team. You will have an opportunity to work effectively on complex projects independently and within a collaborative environment. You will research and suggest modern ways of development using cloud solutions and latest technologies. You will also work with product managers and other engineers to design and implement new features on the platform.

What you will do: 

• Act as a lead technical voice in the requirements gathering phase of projects
• Provide guidance to scrum masters to create relevant epics/user stories
• Participate in client meetings and provide meaning insights into the solutions
• Develop and auto-execute unit test cases integrated with the Maven builds
• Prepare daily checkout routines for the environments
• Be available to support incident reports (IR) created by clients and address them in timely fashion
• Develop log events and customize error codes based on client requirements
• Implement exception handling and trigger incident alerts based on errors

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• 6+ years of experience with Spring Boot, create, setup and deploy Spring Boot applications.
• 3+ years of experience in AWS Cloud-based technologies with universally available and scalable architecture
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD concepts and tools such as Git, Maven, Gradle or Jenkins
• 1+ years of experience in Snowflake (big data cloud data base), write efficient queries, read, and understand the query plan and write stored procedures and functions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Jira board process
• Financial services/Payments industry experience
