The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for supporting the accounting department in performing various accounting tasks. This includes processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This position is a fixed‑term role with an expected duration of one calendar year.


Essential Functions

  • Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Assist with related accounting activities
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports as required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Support Month-End and Year-End Close Processes
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare necessary schedules and analyses to support financial close
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager
  • Provide support to other accounting team members as needed
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

Education Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 1+ years working experience in accounting or business administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment is required


Skills and Abilities

  • Good organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic office computer knowledge and skills, preferably with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately record and analyze data
  • Strong attention to detail


Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid driver's license is required


Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Primarily works in office environment
  • Standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, squat, ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
