Task requirementsSubject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OF2 to serve as SO3 Engagement at HQ StratCom, Northwood HQ. This role will suit ADC, VTOD or VeRR Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Nov 24. Up to 90 x RSDs pa are available until 31 Dec 27.

Position Role:
A demanding role responsible for delivery of engagement for UKSC activity on behalf of the Command. Team leader and project manager for engagement work strands within UK Strategic Command, cohering the various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring delivery of Commander’s Engagement aims.
Responsibilities:
1. Support SO2 Engagement in the management of a strategic engagement programme including the co-ordination, planning and execution of dedicated strategic communications events that raise the overall profile of the Command in a timely and coherent manner.
2. Play a part in liaison between MOD Head Office, HQ UKStratCom, external industry, and events stakeholders (Clarion, RUSI, IISS) and the HLBs that constitute the command.
3 Help deliver the Annual UKStratCom strategic conference. Enable and cohere the annual Staff Conference and the External Conference.
4. Work with SO2 Engagement to facilitate delivery of conferences and symposiums and drive the engagement programme to further UKSC engagement objectives.
5.Cohere delivery of the Defence Security and Equipment International (DSEI) Exhibition event from a Command perspective under the direction of SO1 Engagement.
6. Represent UKStratCom best interest across Defence and support the wider defence aims and objectives for DSEI with the event organiser.
7. Project UKSC messaging though appropriate opportunities including through working with the Communications department.
8. Uphold UKSC reputation as the Integrator within Defence and maintain/develop partnerships accordingly.
9. Line manager responsibilities for Engagement NCO staff.
Essential competencies
Must be an OF2 of any specialisation. OF1 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered.
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
