The Manager is responsible for the oversight of the assigned department including, but not limited to: clinical quality performance, member engagement, and quality compliance and reporting. This position will oversee the department in an efficient manner to ensure timely and compliant quality and risk management services resulting in quality patient care and improved physician performance in Value Based contracts. The Manager consults and collaborates with the PHSO National Quality and Risk team, other managers, departments, physicians, administration and healthcare workers regarding departmental activities or initiatives. This position leads or participates in quality and process improvement projects related to department functions. The Manager is responsible for all performance management activities, including hiring, training or disciplinary issues. This position will conduct, lead,facilitate,or participate in staff meetings, and interdepartmental meetings. This position reviews documentation or utilization data for the purposes of reporting, trending, quality improvement or validation of compliance as indicated. The Manager guides department operations according to the organizational objectives, standards of practice and Federal and State Regulations and accrediting body active within the team.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent required
  • 3 to 5 years experience in outpatient clinical / operations experience or 2 years of frontline supervisory experience
  • 2 years of frontline supervisor experience
  • Knowledge of CMS, NCQA and other outpatient accreditation requirements
  • EMR/Outpatient management platform experienceBudgeting experience
  • Knowledge of value based reimbursement models of payment
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with interdisciplinary partners in the management of identified patient populations.
  • Overseeing a mix of clinical, operational, and business activities related to that team.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement specific program goals including high priority project redesign efforts required to improve performance.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems.Strong organizational (time management) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective supervisory skills, including developing clear performance expectations, hiring, coaching, conflict management, evaluating, resolving performance problems, and group facilitation.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills. Proficient in email communications and internet usage along with basic use of office support platforms including documentation, spreadsheets and presentation software programs.
  • Knowledge of information technology to evaluate care effectiveness (care process, outcomes and cost).
  • Knowledge of the content, intent and application of federal and state standards and regulatory requirements as well as accreditation requirements pertaining to matters within designated scope of responsibility.
