POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic, execution‑focused, and results‑driven Project Director to provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for complex, multi‑building projects. This senior leader is accountable for the end‑to‑end execution of large, complex, and high‑risk engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. This senior‑level leader will oversee project strategy, delivery, and performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client expectations, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate is a decisive leader who thrives in high‑risk, fast‑paced project environments and can balance strategic oversight with hands‑on problem solving. This candidate should have experience successfully managing and delivering multi-billion dollar projects and programs.
This role establishes the execution framework that ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, contract‑compliant, and profitably, while meeting Integra’s operating standards and client expectations. The Project Director serves as the primary executive interface with the client, owns overall project performance, and leads multi‑disciplinary project organizations in a matrixed environment. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep project execution expertise, and the ability to lead distributed teams through complexity, change, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Execution Leadership
• Define and govern the overall project execution strategy in alignment with business objectives, client requirements, and contractual commitments.
• Provide executive leadership for multiple related projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk objectives are achieved.
• Ensure consistent application of project management processes, systems, and controls across all projects.
• Drive predictable project performance through disciplined execution, active risk mitigation, and proactive decision‑making.
• Promote a culture of transparency, safety leadership, and operational excellence
Client, Contract & Commercial Management
• Serve as the senior point of contact for the client, maintaining executive‑level relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and notification processes.
• Oversee change management, claims strategy, and commercial risk to protect Fluor’s financial interests.
• Lead resolution of complex client, partner, or stakeholder issues that impact project outcomes.
Financial & Risk Accountability
• Manage project‑level financial performance, including forecasting, change management, cash flow, and profitability.
• Oversee identification and mitigation of technical, commercial, schedule, and execution risks.
• Ensure project decisions balance client objectives with organizational, commercial and strategic goals.
• Provide transparent, accurate executive reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Oversight of Project Directors & PMs
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Manager and other project esources, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
• Ensure robust project controls are in place across the project, including cost, scheduling, risk, and reporting.
• Review and approve recovery plans for underperforming projects or workstreams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project.
Integration Across Functions
• Coordinates across multiple functions to ensure prioritized alignment to project outcomes, including:
o Sales
o Engineering
o Construction
o Manufacturing
o Procurement & Supply Chain
o Commissioning
• Ensures resources are deployed effectively and are driving outcomes by aligning with functional owners as required.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of experience delivering EPC/EPFC projects, including leadership of medium‑to‑large, high‑risk projects.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi‑site projects in a matrixed organization.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, commercial execution, and project controls.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred
• Experience delivering mega‑projects or government/mission‑critical projects.
• Prior responsibility for full P&L accountability on large projects.
• Experience serving as Project Manager or executive sponsor for major projects.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (PMP, PE, or equivalent
