A Day in the Life

An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology.  Formulates, delivers, and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.  May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other team members. The majority of time is spent delivering initiatives related to existing and new technologies within the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health mobile platform space while adhering to policies and using specialized knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: 

  • Drive cross-functional integrated schedule creation via work decomposition, estimating activities, and relationship creation.  
  • Complete schedule analysis on key activities – critical path, critical path +x days, Monte Carlo.   
  • Alert cross-functional teams on issues related to scheduled activities, deadlines, conflicts, etc., and the program schedule.  
  • Facilitate schedule recovery and replanning activities as required.  
  • Establish program relationship milestones within the schedule in collaboration with Project Leads.   
  • Leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for ongoing lifecycle management of products.  
  • Reviewing the status of projects and budgets; preparing status reports.  
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention, and problem-solving with project managers.  
  • Communicates with stakeholders and obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems. 

Additionally,

  • Develops and maintains mobile platform roadmaps 
  • Develops and maintains metrics within the mobile platform 
  • Maintains mobile platform backlog 
  • Develops and implements mobile platform device database 

Required Knowledge and Experience: 
Requires a Baccalaureate degree

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with MS projects.
  • Medical device product development knowledge.
  • Has built a database.
  • SW development knowledge.
  • Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) mobile device knowledge.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$109,600.00 - $164,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
