This critical role will drive financial transformation and cost-optimization initiatives, enabling significant cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and sustainable value creation.</p> <p>This position offers a unique opportunity to shape BioNTech`s future by driving transformative projects and meaningful change, directly contributing to the company’s strategic growth and innovation.</p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Your main responsibilities are: </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Strategic Leadership:</strong> Drive financial transformation efforts and strategic realignment initiatives, focusing on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable value creation to support BioNTech’s long-term growth objectives</li> <li><strong>High-Impact Initiatives:</strong> Partner with executive leadership to identify, design, and implement cost-saving measures and strategic initiatives that drive financial and operational excellence</li> <li><strong>Business Case Development: </strong>Develop, validate, and oversee complex business cases across biotech R&amp;D, product supply, and enabling functions, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals</li> <li><strong>Investment Decisions:</strong> Guide strategic investment projects and contribute to post-merger integration, synergy realization, and divestment opportunities, to maximize value creation</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong>: Foster collaboration among senior stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transformation initiatives across functions and departments</li> <li><strong>Financial Analysis:</strong> Deliver detailed financial analyses and reporting on strategic initiatives, enabling executive leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions</li> <li><strong>Operational Excellence:</strong> Identify and execute opportunities for process optimization and automation, leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies</li> <li><strong>Executive Support: </strong>Provide strategic insights and decision support tailored to executive-level priorities and considerations</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>What you have to offer: </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Leadership: </strong>Proven track record of successfully leading transformative cost-optimization programs and high-impact cost-saving initiatives</li> <li><strong>Education: </strong>Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Natural Sciences, or a related field</li> <li><strong>Professional Experience: </strong>At least 10 years of experience in business transformation, strategic consulting, and/or corporate finance; experience in post-merger integration, synergy realization, and strategic investment decision-making is highly preferred</li> <li><strong>Industry experience:</strong> Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies is preferred, with a strong understanding of the value chain, strategic implications, and operational challenges</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in tools and processes essential for implementation phases of transformation, including business case development and validation. Financial modeling expertise is an advantage</li> <li><strong>Strategic Thinking:</strong> Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to deliver impactful results at the executive level</li> <li><strong>Communication:</strong> Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated experience engaging senior management and cross-functional teams effectively</li> <li><strong>Language:</strong> Fluency in English is required; German proficiency is a plus</li> </ul> <p><br/>This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving transformation and innovation in the biotech industry.
