The Role: Senior Events Specialist, Executive Events
The Team: Our team supports the S&P Global Board of Directors and some of our Executive Team. We plan and execute local and international events for our stakeholders.
The Impact: As a Senior Specialist on the Executive Events team, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to life our values of Discovery, Partnership, and Integrity by delivering exceptional events for our Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and global employees.
What’s in it For You: You will support the operations and execution of events spanning the global organization, our senior leadership team, Board of Directors, and CEO, working with local management teams at our global sites, and deliver against business goals.
As part of the Office of the CEO, you will liaise with key stakeholders in legal, strategy, brand, and communications to influence, design, and deliver critical experiences for attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a critical team member responsible for events management for S&P Global Board meetings, Executive Committee off-sites, and other Leadership activities.
- Understanding the complete scope of event planning to include sourcing, venue selection, communicating with stakeholders and attendees, registration, and attendee tracking (Cvent), on-site assistance with room set up and monitoring, rooming & transportation, food & beverage requirements, Audio-Visual specifications, and ensuring successful execution.
- Demonstrate solid program management, vendor relationship management, and budget management skills.
- Deliver events that are within budget and aligned with client expectations.
- Create and manage pre- and post-event evaluations.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ event experience
- Highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented; must multitask and prioritize with ease in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented, global, and multi-cultural environment.
- Program management skills including the ability to adapt to evolving priorities, manage a wide variety of projects, and demonstrate superb budget management skills.
- Flexible hours with weekend work as needed; ability to travel for extended periods.
- Customer- service oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors/or Associates degree
- Experience and background in a similar position and interest in creative, high-touch executive events a plus.
- Passion for events and delivering bespoke experiences for large, global organizations and superb communication skills.
- Strong EQ and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, geographically diverse organization.
- Proficiency in Cvent, Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, or other events/project management software; an understanding of backend database systems and event apps is a plus.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,872.00-$145,540.00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
