2024 Summer Internship, Security Risk (New York City)

Spotify is looking for enthusiastic students/recent graduates with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. This isn't just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it's like to be a Spotify employee as well as get the opportunity to see the technology side of a fast-growing company! Our summer internships will last for approximately 10 weeks this summer and start in the beginning of June.
We are looking for a Security Risk intern to join our team of dedicated people who share a common interest in scaling security at Spotify. You will play a key part in the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team, with the mission of enabling informed cybersecurity decisions at Spotify. To enrich our security organization while living the Spotify culture, you will also provide experience and subject matter expertise in all fields of information security governance. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What You'll Do

• Support Spotify’s Security GRC program
• Contribute to our ability to identify, assess, prioritize and mitigate information security risks throughout the organization and come up with recommendations on how to integrate controls as part of daily operations.
• Work cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and teams to contribute to our information security governance and risk management practices.
• Participate and help drive efforts in the following areas:
• information security governance, including policy development and cybersecurity frameworks
• Security awareness initiatives
• information security risk management
• third party risk management
• compliance programs involving information security

Who You Are

• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar technology-focused degree is preferred but not required.
• You have a graduation year of 2025
• You currently have valid work authorization to work in the country in which this role is based that will extend from June to August 2024
• You are available from June to August 2024 to participate in the summer internship
• You have a genuine interest in the field of Security
• You might have some experience with coding and/or understanding technical details
• You are 100% service-minded and enjoy interacting with people. A lot of our employees will know you and will need your help in various matters, therefore keeping your head cool and a good structure is essential.

• This role will require you to work out of our New York City Office

The United States hourly rate for this position is $45 USD. This includes a one time intern stipend of $2,253 USD and is overtime eligible. These rates may be modified in the future. The role is eligible for select benefits such as Paid Public Holidays, Free Spotify Premium, and Learning and Development Trainings.
Our paid summer internships last for approximately 10 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is March 15th 2024 at 9 AM ET.
