Job Summary: 

The incumbent is responsible for the preparation of clean glassware as per directions outlined in the department’s standard operating procedures.  Additionally, the aide assists in laboratory maintenance and cleanliness.  

Job Responsibilities:


•    Washes and re-shelves laboratory glassware 
•    Monitor and replace gas cylinders to support GC instrument.
•    Maintains cleanliness of laboratory equipment such as sonicators, refrigerators, freezers, dissolution baths, etc.
•    Monitors and empties laboratory solvent and solid waste disposal.
•    Stocks solvents in the warehouse and laboratory as needed.
•    Log samples for stability testing or other analytical testing.
•    Responsible for laboratory housekeeping and chemical inventory.
•    Daily pH meter and balance calibration
•    Maintain and monitor laboratory chart records
•    Monitor chemical expiration date
•    Receives and stores laboratory supplies.
•    Clerical responsibilities such as but not limited to preparing and filing sample folders.
•    Occasional assistance with laboratory calibrations or systems verification checks.
•    Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes
•    Operates in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
•    All other relevant duties as assigned
 

Qualifications

​​​​​​​Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting with laboratory instruments is required. Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is strongly preferred. 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a laboratory cleanroom setting
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, standard test procedures and material safety data sheets.
  • Ability to read and write in English as well as to orally communicate in English.
  • FDA, cGMPs, and SOPs related to job descriptions.
