Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance  

Work Schedule: Onsite, Full-time, Monday–Friday (100% onsite at TheLink – 7000 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD)

Role Overview:

In this role, you will create, manage, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation that supports government contracts and internal projects. You will collaborate directly with engineers, developers, security personnel, and other technical staff to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, contract-ready documentation. As a self-starter, you will independently drive documentation development, ensure all deliverables meet contractual requirements and internal standards, manage version control, and support the improvement of documentation processes across the organization.

• Experience with Microsoft Office 
• Verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to work both collaboratively and individually  
• Critical Thinking Skills 
• Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed 

Specific Skillset

• Proven experience producing contract deliverables such as Build Guides, Test Reports, Architectural Documentation, CONOPs, and Security Documentation
• Ability to work directly with engineers and technical staff without management intervention
• Strong understanding of documentation lifecycle management: planning, writing, editing, reviewing, and updating
• Experience with Agile program management tools, including Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Skilled in organizing documentation repositories, version control, and compliance with standards and templates
• Ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback and participate in formal document reviews
• Experience developing documentation processes and standards

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related field (required)

Experience Requirements 

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Technical Writer producing contract deliverables
• Experience producing Build Guides, Test Reports, Architectural Documentation, CONOPs, and Security Documentation
• Experience with Agile program management tools, including Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Experience working directly with engineers to document integration processes (preferred)
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Columbia, MD
