Duties:

Support workforce at large by providing for manager and employee needs using operational and organizational resources.
Assist with onboarding activities including orientation, E-Verify, employee file creation, and timekeeping training for all new hires.
Assist with offboarding activities including departing personnel and terminations.
Assist with maintaining compliance with federal employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Knowledge of OPM and DAF policies, hiring, and personnel management practices.
Maintains employee data in various filing systems and using organizational tools.
Assists with annual events such as external annual reporting, performance reviews, engagement activities and awards. • Experience within Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills,
Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to prioritize complex issues and meet deadlines.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision on projects and initiatives in required time frames.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Detail oriented with demonstrated project management and analytical skills.

Requirements:

Bachelors in relevant field.

Prefer HR Generalist certification and or PHR/SRHM.
Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment
Knowledge of HRIS software a plus.

Other Essential Job Functions:

The HR Specialist will partner with AFSEO leadership, managers and employees to provide HR support and solutions and will report to AFSEO Technical Director.
