Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems Architect – Systems Architect (25-179) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position, located in Colorado Springs, CO., or Huntsville, AL., plays a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

C2BMC is a dynamic and exciting program in the Missile Defense and Space mission areas. C2BMC has had a long history of providing solutions to the Missile Defense Agency and continues to be contracted to provide new and innovative solutions to both of these missions.

The selected candidate will have the potential to work across C2BMC in both Missile Defense and Space. Be part of an integrated architecture & systems engineering team, on a multi-company team program, tasked with defining the operational, physical, functional, and technical architecture necessary to describe the vision and desired capabilities of an evolving C2BMC effort.
