The Job:  

As a Corporate Counsel, you’ll be part of our Legal team working as a virtual employee.    You’ll get to:  

• Provide legal counsel and advice related to purchasing materials and component parts for SBD's products  
• Draft and negotiate a variety of procurement agreements to facilitate the sourcing of goods, services, and software globally  
• Resolve issues in supplier/vendor relationships and handling legal disputes 
• Advise on supply chain risk management, trade compliance, IP, data privacy, policies/procedures, and business efficiencies
• Support the EHS team on workplace safety incident investigations, and environmental related matters as needed 

The Person:

• 6+ years negotiating purchasing/commercial agreements or providing legal guidance on supply chain operations Law degree from top-tier law school
• Member in good standing of at least one state bar
• Ability to provide timely and effective legal and business advice across a wide range of novel legal and business matters
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good business judgment and sound decision making in ambiguous situations with ability to balance risk, opportunity, and business objective
• Strong project management skills, able to direct and implement multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with and influencing client groups
• Hardworking and results-oriented
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently, making decisions that have both legal and business impact
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
