About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Aide plays an important role on the health care team. This position is responsible for ordering, stocking and/or maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in their designated work area. An understanding of the basic principles of infection control is essential and key to providing a safe environment for patients and staff alike. The incumbent also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12
- Previous experience in a similar role an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
- Proficient using computer programs
- Tactfulness and diplomacy in dealing with patients, visitors, and co-workers
- Ability to establish good relationships
- Good judgement and demonstrated initiative
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent Part Time 53%; 39.75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives
$19.90 - $21.53 Hourly
