Summary:

Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field

  • Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred

  • Pediatric experience preferred

  • Child growth and development education required.

  • CPR - BLS within 60 days of employment

  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of employment

  • Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college
