  • Taking care of team members is critical to American Airlines’ long-term success. The Labor Analysis team participates in union negotiating sessions alongside our Labor Relations and Legal departments and provides strategic and economic direction to senior leaders pertaining to labor contract negotiations, employee compensation and benefits, and team member productivity. The Labor Analysis team is central to the strategic management of over $12B in annual expenses and gets unique exposure to many groups throughout the company, including HR, Operations, and Commercial.

  • In this role, you’ll manage a team of analysts in our Financial Planning and Analysis group responsible for the strategic direction of our labor agreements.

What you'll do

  • Be an on-site financial/economic expert during negotiations

  • Lead bi-weekly updates to the CFO and SVP Finance

  • Manage team which develops and maintains detailed economic labor models, track and interpret financial and operational metrics related to American and other peer airline labor groups

  • Work closely with multiple departments throughout the company including Labor Relations, Operations, Benefits, and Legal

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 5 years of previous work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field, or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • MBA
  • 3 years of prior management experience
  • Airline/travel industry and/or financial analysis/accounting experience preferred

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Strong PC and MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis
