As an Analyst on the Portfolio Accounting team, you’ll play a major role in ensuring the completeness of client financial data stored within various account tracking systems. The role supports financial planning teams and internal departments by fielding inquiries, conducting account research, creating training materials, and generating data sets.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary Portfolio Accounting point of contact for company initiatives requiring Portfolio Accounting data analysis
- Work independently on multiple competing projects by managing and prioritizing critical tasks as needed
- Develop maintain, and execute organized and effective project plans to accomplish deadline driven objectives
- Serve as team lead on data-related inquiries and produce in-depth data analysis on complex data-related questions
- Work closely with Portfolio Accounting team members on research, analysis and development of methods, procedures, and productivity standards
- Field daily inquiries from financial planning teams
- Create ad-hoc data sets for internal and external partners
- Ensure the integrity of financial data through ongoing account reconciliation and database maintenance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business, or equivalent industry experience required.
- Previous work experience in a Portfolio Accounting department and/or portfolio tracking applications a plus
- Must be highly analytical, diligent, and thorough
- Experience using SQL or other data analysis tools required
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must have high level of computer proficiency and be comfortable with mathematical comprehension
- Strong interpersonal skills required. Shown ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
- Must be well organized, able to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Position requires high level of responsibility regarding confidential information. Must maintain confidentiality at all time
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $57,000 -$75,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
