POSITION SUMMARY

Tarkett is seeking a Production Master Data Manager to join our successful and growing Product Data Solutions team. This position will be responsible for creating, analyzing and improving the Product Master Data, fundamental to the business processes that touch and influence the customer experience.  Relevant systems and processes include, but are not limited to, ERP, PIM, DAM, and MDM/Data Quality systems. This position will work closely with both Business Process Key Users and the Master Data Specialists to investigate, design, and implement improvements in data creation and maintenance processes, rule-based product configurations, and streamlined processes to support the data reliability for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Master Data Maintenance and Quality: (80%)

  • Extract, manipulate, and summarize data records in a meaningful way that clearly communicates data quality to key stakeholders

  • Initiate investigations into data quality to further analyze and report on areas of need and improvement in support of customers, both internal and external

  • Develop methodologies for testing data quality and recommend tools to view, analyze, and report on these opportunities

  • Initiate process and procedure changes to improve and sustain data quality at improved levels (continuous improvement)

  • Troubleshoot expert user problems within the current master data sets

  • Facilitate the creation of new work centers to support new equipment purchases

  • Lead ad hoc efforts to mass create or change Production Master data in support of new product launches, business process changes, or other project work

  • Create, test, and establish mass change procedures and methodologies

  • Provide ad hoc support in projects and day-to-day activities to help balance the incoming queue of new requests along with spot needs to support Project and Launch deadlines

  • Identify and implement process improvements and effective enhancements in support of an enhanced customer experience.  Includes involvement of key stakeholders and user testing of the new processes to engage customers early in the process

  • Update Production Master data to support PAP (cost reduction) projects

  • Copy Production BOMs and Routings to Costing BOMs and Routings to support cost roll activities

  • Extract data as needed to support PG Loop, PAP projects, and other improvement initiatives

  • Manage (1) full-time supporting associate as well as contracted resources.

  • Create and maintain data models and data analysis tools that support self-service data needs for operations personnel at multiple levels

• Production Master Data creation: (20%)

  • Creation of BOM, Routing, and Production Versions to support customer orders, new style launches and TPR

  • Add new style information to Design and Operations thread-up tables

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management or Logistics with 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Material Management, Data Management or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 2-4 years of ERP Master Data creation and maintenance with a focus on Material/Item Masters.  Transacting in the SAP ERP system strongly preferred

• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant numbers of requests, transactions, and records in an enterprise level master data system

• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

• Customer focused with an emphasis on clear and effective communication

• Adapt easily to changing environments, priorities, and system enhancements

• Winshuttle, LSMW’s, SQL, or similar mass update and creation tools preferred.  Script/Loading design is a plus

• Microsoft Excel and office suite required

• PowerBI or related business-insight software development experience is a plus

• Familiarity with databases and database processes preferred.  Use of Sharepoint Lists and Forms (or similar workflow to data field systems) a plus

• Working knowledge in carpet manufacturing is a plus
