Overview
Current provider and healthcare directories are often inaccurate, fragmented, burdensome to maintain, rarely support interoperable data exchange or public health reporting, and are overall costly to the health care industry. A potential solution to this deficit is developing a centrally managed single source of truth National Directory of Healthcare (NDH).
LMI is seeking an experienced Healthcare Provider Data SME to support a team building this NDH. This directory will serve as a single source of truth for numerous stakeholders that may include: insurance companies, independent researchers, VA, CMS, CCIIO, OBRHI, and any other users interested in knowing information about providers. This position may be remote.

Responsibilities
- Provide expertise to various team members including data architects, data scientists, UI/UX designers, and software engineers regarding:
- Healthcare provider data including data sources, data fields, and frequency of updates
- Pain points around healthcare providers submitting data to various sources
- Contribute to the design of a provider data ontology
Qualifications
Required:
- 2–5 years of experience with the following data sources:
- CCIIO QHP Template data
- CCIIO Machine Readable data
- NPPES
- PECOS
- EDGE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other related business or quantitative discipline is required.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree
- Experience working with commercially available provider data including but not limited to: ZocDoc and Healthgrades
- Experience working with Python.
- Experience with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data engineering, and feature engineering
